๐Ÿ“š Education: The Index Project x Design Center of the Philippines
The 'design to improve life' mindset heads to the Philippines

We're thrilled to officially kick-off our 'design to improve life' workshop in partnership with the Design Center of the Philippines!

The intense workshop will introduce participants, from the Design Center of the Philippines network, to working with a structure of innovative thinking and creating sustainable solutions for real-life challenges.

The Design Center of the Philippines is the country’s leading agency "committed to cultivating a culture that thrives on creativity, value creation, and innovation". The Center’s efforts particularly focus on creating human-centred products, services and spaces and ensuring design, as a whole disciple, plays a key role in positive development.

Facilitated by our Education Director Charlotte Høeg Andersen, our participants comprising local design professionals, executives and educators, will join us virtually for a creative two days. While we will miss the in-person interaction, that we're all accustomed to, this digital format presents a great new challenge to impart the 'design to improve life' methodologies digitally and increase our reach and impact in these challenging times.

"Our mission at The Index Project is aligned with the mission of the Design Center of the Philippines; positive change through design," says Høeg Andersen. "We look forward to sharing our knowledge and tools on sustainable innovation, creative problem-solving, and working together with the Philippines to deliver real and lasting impact."

The core of the workshop will be guiding participants through the Design to Improve Life Compass; the backbone of all our learning and business development initiatives. The Compass is a problem-solving tool that integrates the three fundamental competencies of didactics, process facilitation and 'design to improve life'.

Whatever the challenge, the Compass can help users get from A to B with concrete actions, methods and techniques. It also helps users navigate, focus and stay on track while encouraging curiosity, engagement, creativity and innovative thinking.

The workshop will also allow participants to explore particular challenges in different breakout 'rooms' and choose their focus. The skills acquired over the next few days will help participants in their daily practices when they need to address challenges with a focus on empathy, teamwork and creative problem-solving.
