Concrete Canvas Shelter
A rapidly-deployable semi-permanent shelter

When disasters such as earthquakes or hurricanes strike, aid agencies need to provide the infrastructure to operate effectively and to shelter refugees. However, existing tents lack durability and often last less than 3 weeks due to wind damage. The shelter's material is the newly invented concrete canvas, a cement impregnated fabric bonded to the outer surface of an inflatable inner, ready for use 12 hours later. The stable structure will last ten years, providing time to rebuild the infrastructure of a shattered community. Later, shelters can be used for storage.
