With an online system, it is possible to place and track orders regarding collected samples. It also enables data input on the app to be posted and processed on NatureMetrics labs. Once analysed, NatureMetrics sends out a detailed report of the results and offers further support if needed.

In the beginning stage, when NatureMetrics was founded, their initial research provided some of the earliest demonstrations of the power of molecular methods for species and ecosystem monitoring, especially by showing that tools could revolutionize the world of environmental management. Yet they became increasingly sure that their potential would only be benefited if the tools were accessible to environmental managers in a standardised way through a commercial service.

NatureMetrics was born to bridge the gap between molecular ecologists and environmental managers. Inside NatureMetrics, the worlds of applied ecology, academic research, environmental policy, industry standards and biodiversity conservation are amongst the main sectors.
