Canairi
A yellow bird to improve your indoor climate
How does it work?
Canaries were used to detect toxic gases in coal mines. When the bird died, it was time to get out. Inspired by that, Canairi has a built-in CO2-sensor measuring the air quality of your home. Canairi® is a Fresh Air Monitor™ improving your indoor climate and health. When the air quality is poor, the bird drops dead.
Why is it needed?
90% of our life is spent indoors, and airing out regularly will improve our well-being, sleep and overall health. Health Authorities even recommends doing it 2-3 times a day. But who remembers to do that?
How does it improve life?
4.1% of global deaths are attributed to indoor air pollution and household air pollution causes noncommunicable diseases including stroke, ischaemic heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer (Our World in Data and WHO). Canairi is not currently on the market, but they'll soon be launching a Kickstarter campaign tor raise funds for the product.
