The vision from Thomas Efsen when he contacted Designer Kasper Salto was to develop a range of functional design furniture installed with UV light inside. The pandemic has raised the need for disinfection in all areas where objects go from hand to hand; kindergartens, offices, schools, museums, sport clubs and churches. UV BENCH is designed with long lasting natural materials, such as wood, linoleum and textile. The intuitive interface of turning on the light, just by opening and closing the lid, makes it user-friendly. All in all we think this solution is one of those innovations that can help us to re-open society, and get us back to normal life again. Manufactured in Denmark with the best craftsmanship and UV experts as part of the development process, it has all the factors from Danish design history to feel good about.
