Extreme E’s five-race global voyage – spanning four continents – will highlight the impact of climate change and human activity on some of the world’s most remote locations, while promoting sustainability, the adoption of electric vehicles, and positive action to help protect the planet. With 30 percent of the planet’s CO2 emissions coming from transport, Extreme E exists to showcase the performance of electric vehicles, using the powerful mix of thrilling sports action, scientific education, and storytelling to accelerate their adoption in order to reduce CO2 emissions and achieve a more sustainable lifestyle. On top of this, teams will field one male and one female driver, promoting gender equality and a level playing field amongst competitors.
