Refurnished is a service that connects users, designers and manufacturers. In contrast to the traditional linear economic model Design-Production-Distribution, the project creates a network of peers (P2P) in which the concept of craftsmanship is reintroduced in a contemporary context. Digital manufacturing technologies such as 3D printers, laser cutting machines and CNC milling machines allow local production through digital input that can be sent from anywhere in the world through the web. The platform allows users to communicate with a network of designers, who will design solutions for them that can repair or care for broken, aged or simply obsolete objects. The digital file can be sent to the nearest manufacturer, eliminating issues related to shipping.
