Agroathlon
Sports training model where both the athlete and the farmer benefit and share with one another
Agro-athletic training model for mountain athletes that promotes the productive development, identity, heritage and culture of a territory. Focused on the recognition of new routes and agricultural activities in the field in order not only to train but also to achieve an impact on the peasant community by living an experience of discovery, learning, cultural exchange and collective work. The training is based on searching for municipalities in Colombia where the model can be replicated. This training is based on designing a mountain circuit in which athletes have to stop at stations. These stations are peasant homes with their own customs, history and culture. As athletes pass through each station, they interact with the farmers and learn from them, while performing physical activities of daily peasant life.
