JewelGirls gives human trafficking victims a chance to live life free of poverty and exploitation
Each week participants with different backgrounds come together in order to learn how to make unique handmade jewelry, to share life's difficulties, to work out their psychological problems, learn how to protect themselves from violence and situations of human trafficking and learn how to draw up its own budget and assess they needs. Most of participants are from 5 to 24 years old being trafficked, exploited or at-risk. Each piece of beautiful handicraft they made is a sign of empowerment, healing and fighting back. Everybody has a chance to buy unique jewelry made with purpose. 50% of revenue comes from jewelry sales go to participants and 50% come back to organization to support other survivors. Programs participants also have access to theraphy, leadership trainings, life skills trainings, job interview trainings, financial management skills trainings and etc. in order to help participants to be selfsustainable and live their own free and interesting life.
