Bicultural Art: Intercultrual Experience
Developing Intercultural Competence among 6 to 12-year-Children through Art
As a cross-cultural project, (Bicutlrual Art Experience) BAE has been designed to enhance the intercultural sensitivity in primary education by considering the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS) and Cultural Intelligence Scale through an innovative bicultural art experience. Up to now, several BAE conducted in separated places located in Brazil, China, Japan, and different provinces of Iran among 196 children. BAE by involving children can influence on shifting from the denial stage, decreasing polarization, increasing the ability of minimization, acceptance, and adaptation also enhancing the durability of intercultural understanding.
