The amount of gas can vary over time, but the levels can be managed with continuous monitoring. Airthings Wave is a radon detector for consumers. Until recently, equipment for detecting radon was intended for professional use. These detectors monitored for shorter periods, and the data had to be interpreted by professionals. With Airthings Wave radon levels are communicated in an intuitive way supporting consumers to monitor their radon levels easily. Wave consists of a home-mounted sensor and an app that visually conveys the radon levels; an overall overview, historical data and notifications of levels are too high. Temperature and humidity are measured as these can affect radon levels. Airthings Wave is enabling consumers to detect radon in their own homes and to take action to protect their families from the lethal gas.
