On average only 10% of Uganda's population has access to electricity or Gas and the rest- 89% make do with charcoal and firewood. It will be an uphill struggle to reverse the alarming trend of Deforestation rate in Uganda but with the Eco Stove road shows, households saw a chance to play a part. We are dedicated to ensure behavior change if we are to provide a sustainable solution. Eco stove will not only save its users lots of cooking fuel cost today, it will leave a legacy for improving peoples lives, encouraging Low-carbon living and a restored environment for the future generations if adopted. An Eco stove user starts saving on fuel cost from Day 1 . Daily saving from kerosene lamps, Savings from charcoal cost, Transport fares to phone charging centers (trading centers with access to electricity) And phone charging fees.
