To family members and caregivers of people experiencing memory loss, it’s an often-asked question. Those asking the question are often frustrated, but the simple act of displaying the day has been found to be a wonderful help to those who just can’t remember what day it is. Our Digital Calendar Day Clock was designed for those experiencing memory loss due to Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Stroke and Cognitive Impairment, but we think it would be a beautiful addition to any home… and it makes a great gift too! As designers and creators of these clocks we had requests for a design that would accommodate the difficulties that many within those communities experienced in trying to read an everyday quartz clock. We designed and developed the Digital Calendar Day Clock based on an 8” digital frame. Its reception was outstanding, declaring in their feedback that the DayClox digitals offered a sense of independence to many with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, which we find most satisfying.
