Rebeam is about wireless energy transmission. Big challenges of distribution of energy are not the costs of generating the energy, but the the costs of moving energy around the world. In terms of solar energy the transmission is needed due to the fact that the sun is not always where you need solar enery. Rebeam is developing wireless low cost energy transmission and wants to empower current high amount of solar energy and solar farms, buy providing means of transmission that are low cost and therefore can support the wide distribution of sustainable energy. The solar energy from panals are transformed into micro waves, which are send to structures in the geo orbit. From here they can be reflected to solar farms on the other side of the earth. Current farm can be retrofitted to use this new technology.
