BLITAB® is the first-ever Braille tablet, using an in-house developed innovative technology to create tactile relief outputting Braille, graphics and maps for blind and partially sighted people. It is a next generation affordable multi-functional device for Braille reading and -writing, that displays one whole page Braille text, without any mechanical elements. This is a great example of how disrupting technology drives social change and inclusion, and contributes to a higher literacy rate and employment rate of blind users. With its functionalities and affordable price, BLITAB® boosts the Braille usage and increase significantly the employment rate of blind users worldwide. Since the company establishment, BLITAB® was directly approached by 40+ universities worldwide. Testing sessions by 3,000 beta testers, among them 300 children from 34 countries were conducted.
