TUG
TUG is a smart autonomous mobile robot for hospitals.
TUG is a smart autonomous mobile robot for hospitals. It does not need any beacons, staging depots or specific infrastructure to be used in the facility. It comes with built-in map and array of on-board sensors to navigate, uses the existing WiFi system to communicate with elevators, doors etc. The staff communicates with it via touch screen interface. In applications where secure access is important, like medication or specimen delivery, the TUG has a built in PIN pad and biometric fingerprint reader to ensure only authorized personnel access to the contents of a specific drawer or the door cabinet. It also determines the optimal route to minimize travel time. It improves productivity, patient experience, worker safety and employee satisfaction, patient safety and enhances the high-tech hospital by performing the delivery and transportation tasks in hospitals where they free up clinical and service staff to focus on patient care and avoid injuries while moving heavy loads of delivery.
