NxSTEP by NXO engineering
NXO engineering designed a new wastewater treatment plant using algae bioremediation
How does it work?
Using algae bioremediation, the NxSTEP process marks a significant turning point in sanitation. Microalgae are at the heart of the treatment plant. Thanks to its richness in macro and micronutrients, Wastewater is a tremendous vector of growth for these algae.
Why is it needed?
Current technologies are structurally very energy intensive whilst being responsible for the increase in the price of water for communities. Furthermore, CO2, N2O and CH4 emissions during the purification process at traditional water treatment centres are equivalent to 1% of overall GHG emissions in France.
How does it improve life?
NXO engineering works on the technical and commercial development of innovative and automated processes in the water sector. The NxSTEP process aims to respond to the continuous improvement of purification performances by being a stakeholder in the energy and environmental transition.
