Ailuna
A sustainability engagement app which makes it fun to develop habits that are good for you
How does it work?
In a few clicks, you can be on your way to building some brand new habits with impact. Users will accept a dare/challenge – from stopping using single-use cups or water bottles, switching to loose leaf tea to saving water or energy around your home. Users receive daily hacks, videos & a whole host of articles to help users achieve their chosen sustainable action goal. As users build new habits, they’ll earn badges. The idea for Ailuna first came to co-founders Lars and Helene back in 2018, but the app build actually started in early 2020. Since 2020 they've built and launched the Ailuna website and blog. They've also built a community through an online Facebook group.
Why is it needed?
Ailuna helps people and organisations become more sustainable, starting with building better habits. They're building a global community of people who want to make a difference. They help people to understand impact of their changes, not only in terms of CO2.
How does it improve life?
According to users, “Ailuna is a breath of fresh air, a fantastic family of professional people coming together to work globally sharing goals and changes for a better world environmentally.” Another user said: “It’s so exciting to see an app that focuses on making easy choices to help you live more sustainably. Some of the dares seem so obvious you wonder why you didn’t think of them yourself. And the community within the app is fantastic for keeping you motivated!”
