The company is women-owned, science-led, and mother-centered. BIOMILQ is on a mission to nourish healthier babies, empower parents through choice and contribute to a healthier planet. In June 2020, the company raised $3.5M in it's seed round, backed by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Blue Horizon Ventures, Purple Orange Ventures, and Shazi Visram. And in 2021, they successfully produced the world’s first cell-cultured human milk outside of the breast.
