Civil rescuers’ instinctive and emotional reaction is to swim out, forgetting about their safety and risking their lives. Unfortunately, some rescuers perish in the rescue attempt, which often happens because they forget or fail to bring appropriate safety device. We are changing this! Today, the lifebuoy ring is a symbol of safety. It is a common publicly accessible flotation aid on the beach but designed to be thrown from piers, harbors and boats. It is slow and troublesome to swim with, making it unsuitable on the beach. Leading to the question, why is it placed at the beach? We are changing the game by giving beachgoers a highly needed aid for swimming rescues.
