Light for Humanity
Social project that provides access to solar energy to these families who live without electricity
Millions of people live without access to electricity in rural areas of the Amazon, so the only way to light it is through toxic kerosene lamps. These lamps are not only very polluting but with their use, entire families inhale their gases causing respiratory diseases. Light Humanity was born in 2018 with the aim of fighting climate change and reducing inequalities by promoting projects for universal access to solar energy in rural areas that depend on fossil fuels. To ensure universal access to energy and combat climate change we are working in 3 key areas: 1. We developed the Solar Technology to cover different degrees of access to energy. 2. We carry out the distribution of solar technology through sustainable economic models. 3. We facilitate the participation of citizens and businesses in Europe to finance energy access projects and to raise awareness about energy inequality and climate change.
