Pavillion Pavilion
Beautifying spaces giving new lease of life and bringing original craftmanship back to the home
Exploration of the relationship between contemporary art and objects of use. Initiated by artist Jack Brindley in Glasgow, 2019 Pavilion Pavilion combines his research as an artist and his interest in design and architecture through making objects and hosting exhibitions in his Glasgow studio. A Pavilion is often a temporary architecture, an exercise in style and ideology. Optimistic experiments and future-facing what-if scenarios, and in this case we hope to use the model to ask the question - ‘What does sculpture do to architecture and what does architecture do to sculpture?’
