Ipadé
Cultivating community and providing high-impact programming for women of colour
Ipadé (ee-pah-day) is a word from the West African Yoruba language that conveys a sense of gathering and coming together. It’s important for womxn of color (cis, trans, and nonbinary) who are working for justice, equality, and positive social change to be able to gather and grow. We need programming that caters to our personal growth and professional goals. Unfortunately, many spaces aren't truly welcoming to women of colour. They don't cater to our unique needs because they are either unwilling to or they can’t. But Ipadé can! Ipadé provides an inclusive and safe space that specifically centers women of colour. We provide member-driven content, events, and workshops specially curated to help us tap into and utilize our power for the good of ourselves and our communities. Members of the Ipadé community are go-getters, changemakers, visionaries, and innovators. They're creatives who are passionate about dismantling systems of oppression, doing good, and leaving their mark.
