Bridging the gap between the unemployed and affected restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Good food has always been the best cure for our body and mind. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our society and economy have suffered unprecedented blows. Social welfare organizations faced a doubled demand for daily services, and employees and volunteers bear the risk of infection when they are on duty.
On the other hand, the newly unemployed populations continued to grow. Many of them, who are previously not serviced by social welfare organizations, had suddenly encountered unprecedented difficulties to acquire even the most essential daily meals.
Via online platform and apps, FOOD HOUSE aims to provide healthy and safe food for people who are in need. Affected restaurants will be utilized regularly by selling ingredients and takeaway lunch boxes at the lowest prices possible. This in turn will help to alleviate the economic difficulties and pressure caused by the pandemic, while reinvigorating local economy, benefiting the people's livelihood.
