Safe Place App
An app for traumatised children and youth. A tool to handle overwhelming thoughts and emotions.
This app is a safe place for children who had to deal with terrifying and frightening experiences.
Safe Place offers exercises that gives relief and healing both in the moment and over time. The first one is a breathing exercise that offers immediate relief when experiencing, e.g. anxiety. The second one focus on progressive muscle relaxation that aims to help your body relax. The third exercise is a guided imagery that offers the user soothing scenes and sounds to help relax and focus.
Within Safe Place you find knowledge on how you can feel after facing extreme stress or traumatic experiences. The app is a tool within a psychological trauma treatment, both for the psychotherapist and the patient. It also offers support and help to traumatized children outside of treatment and for all important adults working with these children in other settings.
