FOOD CIRCULAR PROJECT APPROACH AND RE-USING THE FOOD THAT WE ALREADY HAVE, WE SOLVE THREE ENORMOUS PROBLEMS: FOOD WASTE, FOOD POVERTY AND CLIMATE BY UTILIZING TECHNOLOGY
Making hunger and food waste things of the past
Hunger isn't a scarcity problem, Hunger is a logistics problem. There isn't a lack of food, rather an ineffective redistribution of wasted food or surplus food especially. When live in a tech-enabled world where logistics issues are practically obsolete. Why are we still tolerating such a contradictory equation?
Globally, 1/3 of all food produced is wasted; this is environmentally devastating and profoundly unsustainable. We have another 2.2 billion people joining the planet by 2050, and in order to feed everybody we need to increase global food production by >50%.
Food waste occurs everywhere and at almost every step of the food chain. This is a problem for an obvious reason: nearly 800 million people are undernourished worldwide (FAO, 2016) while 1.3 metric gigatons of edible food goes to waste every year this is really a moral grain.
