Deaftronics provides solar powered hearing aids for hearing impaired people in developing countries who lack access to electricity for charging hearing aid batteries. Without a hearing aid, the hearings impaired are unable to engage socially, provide for their families, or participate productively in the economic development of their countries. Those living without electricity can’t benefit from hearing aids because they aren’t able to afford batteries, access batteries, or charge the batteries even if they did have them. Our Solar Ear technologies solve these issues and enable hearing impaired people living off-grid to become productive members of society. Deaftronics hearing aids are three times less expensive than other hearing aids on the market and come with a complete solar charging package. We have managed to create 80 jobs for Hearing Impaired. Helped 40 000 children in 31 countries to go to school. Lowered the rate of HIV-AIDS in Botswana among the deaf population.
