Stadt für alle - Festival for bottom-up urban developement
- co-collaboration - connecting local actors - defining common goals - inspiring citizens
Nowadays, urban development no longer takes place in the administration alone - various forces and actors have recognized that they can open many doors on their own initiative in order to design their spatial environment according to their ideas. With "Stadt für alle" we focus on how citizens, administration, urban actors and companies can open up the design of their city in a cooperative way in order to establish a variety of life plans, encounters, offers and liveliness - we focus on all those actors who see urban space as an area of transformation. With app. 1700 visitors at 40 events and 36 partners in May 2018, the festival depicted the status quo of urban participation projects in Nuremberg. The aim is to strengthen the local structure of actors through inspiration and networking. The festival developed out of a conceptual bachelor thesis in the field of design, which dealt with the question of how designers can work in the public interest and create social added value.
