The Calientamigos system allows impoverished families living without hot running water to heat and pressurize water for bathing, cooking and cleaning. The system is comprised of three modular components: a portable electric water heater that safely heats 5 gallons of water to 110 degrees in 15 minutes, a simple foot pump and a multipurpose faucet head. Calientamigos works with any household container, and it is more affordable and accessible than installing a gravity-fed water system.
