Innovative oyster raft to improve the environment for oyster breeding
In Taiwan, due to seasonal typhoon and short lifespan of the oyster raft, the wrecked traditional raft have caused a large-scale environmental pollution, especially in coast area. Nowadays there are many predicaments faced by the oyster aquaculture industry, such as the difficulty of obtaining natural oyster spat, the damage caused by typhoon and the shortage of labour. To deal with the above problems, we have presented an innovative design for oyster breeding that incorporates three major features: 1. Consideration of environmental sustainability, 2. Consideration of usability and 3. Intelligent management.
