Nascent Objects
A modular consumer electronics platform allowing users to go from concept to product in weeks
Modularity just might represent the future of production; Nascent Objects is a platform that allows users to create objects from a library of mix-and-match component parts with a simple drag-and-drop digital interface. The selection of electronic components and 3D-printed shapes can be combined in myriad ways to create everything from motion-sensor birdhouses that snap a pic of new residents to smart home cameras mounted in a decorative bear’s head. By combining hardware design, circuitry, 3D printing and modular electronics, their technology allows developers to go from concept to product in just weeks, much faster and less expensive than traditional methods. People have become used to the idea that with software, you can have whatever you want, whenever you want it. Nascent Objects want to make this happen with hardware.
