Too Good To Go is an app that shows users nearby restaurants that have leftover food that can be purchased for 20-30 kr or 2-5 £. It prevents food waste, reduces the C02 footprint, and provides gourmet meals at a very low price. Users also have the option to donate meals to the homeless - delivery and practicalities are all arranged free of charge. Even the boxes used to collect the leftover food are environmentally responsible as they are made from biodegradable sugarcane boxes. At time of nomination, the app is active in Denmark, Germany, and France.
