Eko Core
Digital stethoscope records the sounds of a patient’s heart and transmits them to a smartphone app.
Eko Core attaches to your stethoscope, amplifies the sound, and wirelessly streams it to your smartphone. You can visualize, record, save, and share patient heart sounds in the Eko iPhone and iPad App. This opens the potential for heart sounds to be stored in the cloud, for clinicians to reference or analyze the data en masse to heighten their understanding of the human heart. High-quality care could be provided at a lower cost. From there, companion app can analyze the audio and compare it to previous recording ,which may help doctor detect murmur, heart-valve abnormalities and other conditions. It could not only improve overall care but also drastically reduce the need for expensive test like echocardiogram. Unnecessary tests could be avoided.
