Pet-Tree
PetTree is a space efficient vertical cultivation system with reused PET bottles to grow safe food.
Pet-Tree is a vertical planting system made from re-used PET containers and recycled plastic pieces. Using waste plastic bottles as pots, design enables growing a wide range of plants in a small space. System uses its tree-like form for water circulation and it harvests rainwater while feeding plants through drip irrigation. Reducing energy consumption in terms of material usage, water and effort, Pet-Tree uses waste plastics to support nature. Flat-pack set serves as an option for organic growers in urban space or can be used in industrial agriculture as modular greenhouses. Easy assembly and use is aimed while maximum efficiency in a small area, less water use and decreased investment price are achieved. To create social impact, Pet-Tree is planned to be produced and supported by governments by a marketing campaign such as micro-credit systems. The aim is to empower the people living in rural areas by turning them into producers through a local production chain system.
