The tragic situation in Ukraine has once again brought light to the dire circumstances for refugees all over – from Ethiopia to Yemen, from Afghanistan to Syria. Therefore, we decided at The Index Project to host a fundraiser to support refugees globally – because while we support Ukrainians, we also need to support refugees in other parts of the world.

So on April 7th, in our Skindergade office in Copenhagen, we gathered people from the Index Community to raise money for UNHCR. At the event, we raised money through a pay-what-you-want-entrance fee and a silent auction featuring sparring sessions with people in our network and a Design to Improve Life Mystery Box! The box contained products from former Index Award finalists such as Petit Pli, LifeStraw, the Pig 05049 book, Papier Machine etc.

In total, we raised €910 which was donated directly through UNHCR to projects in Afghanistan, South Sudan, Syria & Yemen. Thank you to everyone who supported the cause!
