For various reasons, many homeless people do not avail themselves of homeless services, even though it would improve their everyday life.
Without a fixed address, homeless people have no storage space for their belongings. This 24 hour access locker system is built into the wall of a homeless services centre and can be accessed on the street via a biometric unit. At the users' discretion, lockers can also be accessed from the inside, making it possible for service staff to leave food or mail for the locker user. In addition, the rear end of the locker is transparent in order to inform the homeless person of staff presence in the building, reminding him or her of the opportunity to seek help at any time.
