For millions of people around the world, it’s not a question of if but a question of when the next big earthquake will hit. And when it comes to survival, every second counts. This low-cost earthquake alarm gives residents up to one minute of warning before a strike, allowing them to prepare and take refuge. Designed by Ferdinand Aichriedler, Patrick Krassnitzer and Manuel Hess, the minimal design is intended to blend into people’s homes yet be affordable enough for poorer communities.
