The increasing age of the population in the industrialized world calls for new approaches on how to rethink elder care. In order to rethink elderly care from a human rather than patient-centered perspective, Singaporean medical professionals invited non-experts and industrial designers to participate in workshops to generate new ideas to improve elder care, some of which have already been applied in Alexandra Hospital in Singapore.
