A Bridge 2 Far
A handcrafted bridge custom designed for a Maosi Village in China

The Po River divides the Maosi Village in the Chinese Gansu Province. Due to flooding, the previous bridge was rebuilt every year. The result of two years of planning and research was the new handcrafted bridge. Built in harmony with its surroundings and constructed with the assistance of the villagers, mainly using material readily available to the village such as bamboo, stone and mud. In addition, the new bridge with its niches has become a social meeting place.
