The tunnel
Industrial designers transforming a place people avoid to a place where people love spending time.
Industrial design students got the opportunity to change the life of
inhabitants at Ammerud by completely transforming a place people avoid to a place where people love spending time.
“The tunnel” features an illuminating climbing wall, a creative
exercise area and Norway’s longest monkey bar.
The challenge was to get more people to use the pathway system by including the values; safety, activity and pride. After research and
concept development, the team and employer decided on
concentrating the delivery on the biggest and darkest tunnel.
The result is the concept “The tunnel”.
The project was in collaboration with the Municipality of Oslo and will be built and finished in june 2015.
