The Inhabitant Hotel & School
"The Inhabitant Hotel & School" is responsible tourism at the service of social change and equity
We meet 3 main goals in order to strengthen TDJ´s (Tiempo de Juego) social intervention in Santa Marta (SM), Colombia: 1. Promoting fair employment opportunities and vital training in services related to the hospitality industry, for people involved in TDJ 2. Providing touristic services as an excuse to create social change 3. Profits will finance the whole operation of TDJ. The project aims to create a virtuous scenario of reciprocal and significant exchanges between tourists and the communities they visit, and vice versa. We will offer dancing, cooking and Spanish lessons, and trips for travelers to visit places of SM and it's Sierra (which are not normally visited by tourists) so they can have a transformative experience. Located in an old house at the heart of SM´s historical center, our target is that of worldwide flashpackers. The type of service clients get here, while not luxurious, is cozy and authentic. We will sell local products made with conscious trade practices.
