Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign
Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign promotes food waste reduction from public institutions to individuals.
Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign was launched in May 2013 to encourage reduction of food waste through the following ways. Food Wise Charter demonstrates commitment of signees to implement measures contributing to food waste reduction. Currently, there are about 400 Charter signees, some of whom have attained encouraging achievements. We also train Food Wise Hong Kong Ambassadors to reduce waste by utilizing food resources. They spread the messages of Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign by applying what they have learnt. Facebook Page for Big Waster (facebook.com/bigwaster.hk), which symbolizes food wastage in the Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign, was launched to enhance interaction with supporters, and to provide information for food waste reduction. Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign would continue its publication work, including roving exhibitions, community activities, food donation, and cooperation with commercial sector, to promote food waste reduction from households to every sector.
