Neural Tourniquet
A non-inversive Vagus Nerve stimulator device designed to stop traumatic bleeding in under a minute.
How does it work?
The Neural Tourniquet is intended for first responders in emergency situations where rapid bleeding control is required to save lives in the critical minutes following a traumatic injury. Driven by the technological advancements in bioelectronics and TENS technology, the concept is supported by 20 years of scientific research and has been successfully proven in pre-clinical trials by the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.
Why is it needed?
9% of gobal mortality is caused by bleeding from traumatic injuries. Over 5 million people worldwide die each year as a result of servere trauma caused by traffic collisions, falls, burns - and violence - from assault, self-inflicted violence or acts of war.
How does it improve life?
The current approaches for controlling the bleed as mentioned above can be significantly improved to increase patients outcomes and address the critical, unmet need for a novel, all-in-one solution that can potentially adress both internal and external bleeding. That will save many peoples lives.
