MUS(T)GO
MUS(T)GO seeks to combat microplastics in drinking water.
How does it work?
MUS(T)GO seeks to combat a silent enemy in the consumption of drinking water that represents a great risk to people's health: microplastics After a detailed study in the field, different conversations with experts and laboratory tests, MUS(T)GO was born, an innovative product that integrates the powers of moss and the latest advances in technology to eliminate microplastics in water consumption.
Why is it needed?
Although it is a solution with great potential to be scalable in different territories of the world, the project seeks to benefit the most vulnerable households on the Caribbean coast of Colombia because, in Cartagena, Santa Marta and Barranquilla, there is the highest concentration of microplastics in the country. Added to this situation are two facts: in these areas the water is not 100% potable and most of the homes located in the poorest regions of the country do not have a water supply.
How does it improve life?
MUS(T)GO is capable of capturing, within a period of 2 months, a total of 80 grams of microplastics, the equivalent of 16 credit cards. In addition, the product life cycle is highlighted, which is based on a circular economy where there are no materials that produce waste and everything is reusable.
