NanoseenX
Revolutionary desalination and filtration technology which does not require an energy supply
How does it work?
The innovative technology, called NanoseenX uses specially created nanomembranes which have the ability to trap impurities and salt in their pores and are arranged in cascades inside a cylindrical device in order to utilise the force of gravity to carry out the filtration, removing the need for the use of energy or pressure. Nanoseen's nanomembranes purify any polluted water turning it into drinking water in 2-5 minutes and desalinate salty water from seas and oceans as well as brackish water. NanoseenX is made of replaceable carbon-based cheap filter elements and it is very fast and easy to install, use and clean. It is the first and only water filtration technology for areas without electricity access.
Why is it needed?
842 000 people die every year from diarrhea caused by the consumption of unsafe drinking water or insufficient sanitation practices. 1 out of 4 deaths of children under the age of five is the result of water-related illnesses. More than 2,8 billion people in 48 countries will face water stress or scarcity conditions by 2025. Today, 31 countries accounting for less than 8% of the world’s population face chronic freshwater shortages. 80% of the illnesses in developing countries result from unhealthy water and/or sanitation systems. In 2025 nearly 230 million Africans will face water scarcity and 460 million will live in water-stressed countries. Nanoseen is working to solve these problems with its nanotechnology filters.
How does it improve life?
It is world’s first technological solution for the purification and desalination of water without the need for an energy source, with potential to help solve worldwide freshwater shortages.
