How does it work?
Bloom’s technology delivers a pure, non-condensed lignin biopolymer of well-known structure. Due to its excellent nature-given properties, our biopolymer can be used as a sustainable nutraceutical ingredient. Our lignin products have great potential towards antioxidant?, UV filter?, antimicrobial, antiviral?, water-soluble?, excellent emulsifier and dispersant efficient in low concentrations?. Blooms offers sustainable degradable bioplastics eg. polyester, polyurethane. These materials show excellent mechanical properties, excellent barrier properties.
Bloom maximizes the usage of plant material with cutting-edge science. Our technology offers the possibility to break through current limitations. With our aldehyde-assisted fractionation (AAF) technology, we efficiently separate the cellulose fraction while stabilizing lignin polymers and hemicellulose-derived sugars. These stabilized structures allow, for the first time, the full potential of lignin and hemicellulose to be valorized.
