Patella Crescenda
Natural sprouting set to grow fresh microgreens in your own home all through the year.
How does it work?
The Patella Crescenda consists of a terracotta dish and base, a glass reservoir and stainless steel growth disks.
Due to the set-up of the reservoir, the water naturally stays at an even level throughout the growth cycle.
Seeds (all kinds of varieties) can be sown directly onto the stainless steel disks.
Once the seedlings have grown, the microgreens can easily be picked from the disks by hand.
Because there is no soil involved, the whole seedling can be eaten, roots included, so nothing goes to waste.
Why is it needed?
- The Patella Crescenda reduces food waste: grow what you need, when you need it.
- Hyperlocal cultivation prevents unnecessary transportation movements and the need for plastic packaging.
- Provide in your own food security and grow fresh and healthy supergreens no matter the circumstances.
- Re-connect with the things you eat, enjoy watching your healthy greens grow and be inspired to grow more of your own food.
How does it improve life?
The Patella Crescenda is designed to re-connect to the things you eat and growing your own food while inspiring to develop a sustainable self sufficient lifestyle, whether you live out in the country or in a city-center appartment.
