Nuyuga
Modular autonomous reforestation system.
How does it work?
The system will be placed in an area that needs to be reforested. Each spherical module consists of a 3D-printed shell that keeps inside a mixture of nutrients, soil, and a germinated plant. When the earthy compound degrades and the plant blooms, the shells are collected and reused for putting together another system.
Why is it needed?
We're facing the consequences of uncontrolled deforestation, such as the loss of animal and plant species, poor air quality, and extreme temperatures. An autonomous system such as Nuyuga, which needs little to no supervision, contributes to the restoration of damaged ecosystems.
How does it improve life?
On a big scale, it contributes to restoring ecosystems and provides good air quality. On an individual scale, the system can provide recreational or peaceful spaces, which will make people feel relaxed and feel closer to nature.
