Snug
Helping people reduce stress and get more things done - all while maintaining a healthy balance.
How does it work?
By Identifying relevant data streams and combining these, snug reveals invisible sources, behaviours and patterns that potentially make users feel stressed. From heart rates to unused apps and ‘read-later’ lists, snug taps into all available data across personal devices, and uses machine learning to make sense of how our digital tools produce real-life pressures. The personal pressure profile reveals in one glance how users need relief and offers tips and tools to resolve ‘pressure issues’ in your life. Snug is not just another stand-alone app with a one-dimensional concept to combat stress. Rather, it’s a ‘meta-app’ that latches to all other apps and their data to make adjustments and smart recommendations across all devices.
Why is it needed?
Meditation, Yoga, Journaling and lavender-pillows: people seek blanket solutions to cope with stress without knowing where exactly it comes from. To make things even harder, many stress-reducing approaches carry social stigmas that are hard to integrate into people’s lives. Digital services are great to do better. Yet, we are drowning in unchecked instant messages, to-do’s and reminders. Suddenly, what’s meant to help means stress: disguised behind a promise of utility, and therefore invisible to our scrutiny.
