Beewise
Earth’s first robotic beehive
How does it work?
Beehome is a device that houses 24 colonies, allowing beekeepers to remotely treat their hives and care for their bees.
The solar-powered BeeHome is placed in the field, populated with bees. The robot within BeeHome takes care of your bees in real-time — sunshine or rain. Users can access vital data and remotely manage hives as if working hands-on.
Why is it needed?
There are a variety of reasons why bees are dying in droves all around the world.
Chief among them are climate change, pesticides, diseases, pests, and more. Without help, the honeybee species is at risk of going extinct. Since bees are strategic and critical to our Global Food Supply, this is a global challenge and a priority for private institutions, public institutions, and governments.
Beewise are not changing how beekeeping is done; they are simply applying it in real-time with a robotic arm vs a human one. It's as if every bee had their own beekeeper 24/7, rain or shine.
How does it improve life?
The robotic beehives can save bees through technology, increase yields through automation and improve pollination through healthier hives. Their mission is to help beekeepers pollinate and produce honey by saving their bees, utilising modern technology.
